Ayo Wilson is a Nigerian-Canadian author and an experienced Early Childhood Educator and Montessori Teacher based in the Niagara Region, where she lives with her family. She has lived in a few other African countries, including Mali, where she began her family and teaching career in 2005.

With many years of experience nurturing young minds, particularly in preschool and kindergarten settings, Ayo has had the privilege of serving in both private and public schools. Her book, Meet My Africa, was inspired by her students' curiosity and eagerness to learn about the vast and diverse continent, combined with her deep passion for teaching.

Outside the classroom and when she isn’t writing children’s stories, Ayo enjoys spending quality time with her family, listening to music, and traveling. She speaks four languages—Yoruba, English, French, and some Bambara—and has a passion for sharing African stories, songs, and cultural insights with young children.
